BBC is a licensed and insured full-service beverage catering company equipped to accommodate any type or size event throughout the United States. We provide services to special event industry professionals, sports & music promoters, private individuals and non-profits. BBC has diversified into operating daily food service in cafes and restaurants. Our greatest growth has been in all types of complete concessions services.

Dirk Alton, President/Owner

Mr. Alton started Best Beverage Catering in 1990 when he saw an opportunity to fill a needed role in the Bay Area events scene. Many caterers were successful, but lacked the ability to be completely full-service. Primarily, BBC is an industry partner who is able to skillfully and legally provide bar service for private and public events. Mr. Alton's entrepreneurial skills still show today, as he continues to expand the parameters of BBC. He currently oversees offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Palm Springs. His reaches have now expanded into venue management and large-scale concession services for the music and sporting industries, most notable Super Bowl of 2003 and 2005-2010.

James Bauer, Co-Founder

As Co-Founder of BBC in 1990, Mr. Bauer has worn a variety of hats including CFO, Director of Operations & Staffing Director for BBC San Francisco. He additionally supervised the opening of the Palm Springs office in 1999 while continuing to assist other offices with major public events. Having owned and operated four nightclubs over twenty years, he brings a unique perspective to BBC. Now residing in South Florida where he grew up, James spearheads the movement into the emerging Southeastern U.S. market.

Suzanne Kavert, VP of Sales & Marketing

Mrs. Kavert has served as our Sales Manager since joining the company in July of 1999. Prior to this, she served as a Board of Director with Travelzoo, a National Account Manager for Budget Rent a Car and Marketing Director for PLM Air. Her extensive and diverse background along with her relationship building and strong cold calling skills has yielded an impressive growth in our special event business. She continues to manage and maintain our existing client base as well as strengthening our position in the marketing place.

Christine Anguiano, Public Events Coordinator

Mrs. Anguiano is BBC's sales person for National and local LA based public concessions events. She coordinates the logistics needed to sell food and beverages at your event such as rentals, insurance, and permitting. Her specialty is coordinating food-related attractions customized for the client and attendees of the event. Whether it is a BBQ contest at a Country Music Event, a Certified Farmer's Market or a Restaurant Row highlighting local fare, Christine will implement it seamlessly and make BBC's clients look like a star.

Mimi Owsley Smith, Director of Marketing & Client Services, San Diego

Mrs. Owsley-Smith joined Best Beverage Catering in 1993 when she started as a member of the event staff. Since that time, Ms. Owsley has proved to be an integral part of Best Beverage Catering and in 1996 opened the San Diego location. She was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of all the departments in the San Diego office and eventually the Palms Springs operation as well. Mimi's current responsibility is marketing and client services. Mimi works directly with clients to ensure successful events, is responsible for a number of the in-house accounts, and works to build partnerships with industry professionals.

Nike Murray, Director of Marketing & Client Services, Coachella Valley

In February of 2005, Mr. Murray joined Best Beverage Catering as Director of Marketing and Client Service. Prior to February, she was employed with an investment firm in the San Diego area in both client service and sales. Her extensive and diverse background along with her relationship building skills has allowed for a smooth transition. Nike's current responsibility is marketing and client services for concessions, beverage and food catering. She works directly with clients to ensure successful events, is responsible for a number of the in-house accounts, and works to build partnerships with industry professionals.

Madeleine Amodeo, Director of Client Services, San Francisco Bay Area

Ms. Amodeo has been a member of the Best Beverage Catering Sales Team for over 8 years. During this time, she has excelled at client relations and superior account & event management. From beginning to end, she will see to it that your event runs smoothly and efficiently. Ms. Amodeo has coordinated events for several Fortune 500 Companies including Microsoft, Yahoo, Cisco, Google & Charles Schwab.

Bob Williams, Production & Event Manager

Mr Williams has been a fixture at BBC since 1991. Bob oversees every aspect of our public events, from planning and preproduction meetings, to ordering, staff training, vendor relations, onsite management and post event reconciliations. Bob has developed long standing relationships with numerous clients. He has managed the Amgen's Tour of California, Coachella Valley Art & Music Festival, Stagecoach Music Festival, Outside Lands Art & Music Festival, & many more!

Rob Fisher, Operations, Production, & Facility Management

Since 2004, Mr. Fisher has been an integral part of our southern California operation. Starting off as a Production Manager, his role grown exponential. He now oversees our entire South California area operation, including all operations at the Fox Theater Pomona. In addition to his regular duties, Rob is indispensible at our public events such as Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival & Van Warp Tour.

Moses Clark, Production Manager

Mr. Clark has been part of the BBC team for over a decade. Joining in 1999, Mr. Clark handles production for dozens of events per week. He manages all equipment, overall inventory, vendor relations, and is in charge of our Northern California Operations department.
